Official Holiday Gift Guide

Welcome to my official 2016 holiday gift guide! While I may not officially be internet famous, this is me pretending to be. I haven't actually done any christmas shopping! And most of my people probably wont get anything on this list, but if I was a better planner and had money right now, these are some things I'd get for people!

humans in general

Moon Juice Moon Dust Sachet Sampler, UO $24

Foot Therapy, Membox $10

Moleskine Classic, amazon $17.44

I'm not exactly sure what moon dust is but they're all the rage according to something I saw, and forgot about. It's a powdered supplement that I've seen in jars, but this convenient sampler pack has single servings of all the varieties. Get someone a foot mask this winter! It's dry, and all of our feet get weird. As for the Moleskine with dotted lines, it's just a super useful notebook that all humans need for lists, notes, journalling, and drawing.

the stressed/anxious/tired

Rice bag bunny, The sick box $65

Aquarian Soul Anxiety Magic, UO $12

Binchotan Eye Mask, Need Supply $23

Fitz the rabbit is filled with rice so he's weighted and can be heated up to be the ultimate comfort buddy, also they're made by Katie and Katie from Seek Welfare! Aroma therapy seems to be a good go to gift for people in general, from candles to soaps, but this little bottle of magic is specifically for calming you down. Eye masks aren't just for traveling. They're for taking a disco nap before working the closing shift, and falling back to sleep after getting super amped up from working the closing shift.

People who have time to cook

Everything I Want to Eat, amazon $28

Saikai Kitchen Knife, Need Supply $330

Boos Cutting Board, Sur la table $57

A hot new cookbook that they'd never buy for themselves because pinterest exists, despite the fact that some of those recipes will become their new favorite go to. Don't buy anyone a $300 knife, I mean unless you're into that kind of thing. But new and super sharp Japanese made knives always have a place in my kitchen. As for the giant cutting board, anyone else using a super old ikea cutting board that should probably be replaced? Yeah we all are, everyone needs a new cutting board.

Who has time to cook?

Grilled Cheese Toaster, UO $34

Grilled Cheese Kitchen (cookbook), UO $19.95

Cheese of the Month Club, $34.95 per month

Not to lump all people that don't cook together and assume they eat dairy, but can't we all agree cheese is best when melted between two pieces of bread or poured over chips with guacamole? Have you ever put mac n' cheese on a grilled cheese sandwich? You're welcome.

the hibernating

aromatherapy spray, bando $22

Vitamin Code Women, Amazon, $30

Amped Fleece Throw, UO $59

Sea-son to Snuggle USB Foot Warmers, Modcloth $40

Aromatherapy spray to help put you to sleep, probably earlier than normal because it's dark and why not. Vitamins because we both know you're not taking them and there's no way you're getting enough vitamin D, iron, or B12 in your diet right now. While there is such thing as too many throw blankets, there's no such thing as too many new throw blankets. And USB Narwhal slippers because feet don't thaw out officially until winter is over! And because they're narwhals!!

Those who refuse to hibernate

Luminoodle, amazon $20

Portable wood burning stove, amazon $19.99

LED Headlamp, amazon $24

For any of those people still out there hiking, exercising, or even camping (WTF) it's important to stay visible, hence the loominoodle and headlamp. It gets dark so early these days, not to mention cold. The wood burning stove we need year round, it's just magic because you don't need to bring fuel, just some twigs you found under your tent.

I only get 2 drink tickets?

Mitten Flask, UO $24

Wine Wipes, amazon $9

Pineapple Shot Glasses, UO $35

Whether you're getting buzzed while picking up kale at the farmers market or just waiting for the bus, there's no judgment with a mitten flask. The wine wipes or for when you go to your significant others work holiday party and awkwardly get wine drunk while eating an entire board of cheese to avoid awkward conversations.  And pineapple shot glasses! We both know these will probably be used once, but they're pretty damn adorable.

We All Know This Person

Bottle Opener, Need Supply $14

Jar of Matches, Anthropologie $10

Made Solid Leather Wrapped Rock, Nordstrom $65

Why settle for a key chain bottle opener when you can get this minimalistic yet rustic one that is essentially a nail in a block of wood. There's nothing more unseemly than a box of matches sitting on your mantle, it  just screams poverty. Bottles are the opposite of poverty. Still using that box of dryer sheets as a paperweight when using a recipe out of a book (do people still use recipe books?), well you should be using this solid rock wrapped in leather instead.
